Pebble privacy policy

Pebble is a Chrome extension that shows a small animated pet on the pages you visit. Everything it keeps stays on your device. It sends nothing to any server.
What it stores
Everything stays in your browser, in Chrome's extension storage on your device:
- the name you give yourself and the name you give the pet
- the pet's look (color, accessory, skin) and which skins you have unlocked
- your settings: visit frequency, quiet mode, "Say hi sometimes", Cat person / Dog person, snooze time, and sites you turned it off on
- the pet's personality (traits such as lazy or lively, a favorite spot) and how relaxed it has become around you after petting
- which days you petted the pet (three different days unlock the Berry skin)
- the last 20 visits, so the pet doesn't repeat itself
What it does not do
- It does not read, collect or send the content of the pages you visit.
- It does not track your browsing history. It only checks the current tab's web address to see whether you turned the pet off on that site.
- It sends nothing to any server. Pebble has no server.
- Sharing a card happens only when you press Share, Copy link or Save image, and goes only where you choose.
- The "Buy me a coffee" button is a plain link to buymeacoffee.com; nothing is sent until you choose to open it.
Why it needs access to websites
The pet has to be drawn on the page you are looking at, so the extension runs on http and https pages. It adds its own drawing layer and never changes or reads the page itself.
Removing your data
Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored.
